Puzzling squares
Installation and exhibition at climate conference
Green Growth is an international conference at the Copenhagen City Hall. In the Main Hall Sahls has designed a combined installation and exhibition, which also serves as venue for coffee breaks. The design is based on quadratic sustainable furniture boards that can be combined in countless ways creating a large spatial exhibition. Subsequently the exhibition can be disassembled and reused at other venues.
The use of squares recurres in a game designed as small boards that can be stacked as the exhibition, assembled in a light box and easily taken home in the suitcase.
As an outdoor installation inviting the citizens of Copenhagen to reflect on sustainable city design, Kollision made an animated light installation on the façade of the City Hall.
